Meet the management team

Our staff are very important to us, they work together to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for the service users and each other.

Becky Radley
Managing Director

I have over 22 years of experience in the social care sector. I’ve worked in a variety of roles and witnessed huge changes across the industry during that time. I now focus on running the company behind the scenes—managing all aspects of finance and leading company development, which is shaped through close collaboration with our Registered Manager and service leads. Together, we ensure the best possible care is delivered holistically, as a united and dedicated team.
Bamburgh House is a huge part of who I am. It’s built on genuine passion for the work we do, the people we support, and the team who bring it all to life. Every decision, every action, is rooted in care, purpose, and love.
Family means everything to me. I’m a proud Mum of two beautiful children and a privileged auntie to three energetic nieces. I cherish every moment we spend together and love making memories with them.

Janine Wightman
Registered Manager

Since joining Bamburgh House in 2015 as a support worker, I’ve grown through every role to become the Registered Manager of a service that supports adults aged 18 and over with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. My journey has been rooted in a deep commitment to equality, advocacy, and compassionate care.
As a leader, I strive to create a positive, professional, and supportive culture—one where both staff and service users can thrive. I support the full staff team, mentor service leads, and work closely with families and professionals to ensure we meet each person’s unique needs. Advocacy is central to what I do: I’m driven to speak up for those who can’t, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
Over the years, I’ve successfully led crisis responses, improved our induction and probation process, developed service documentation, and supported new referrals through thorough assessments and collaborative planning. I’ve also played a key role in creating personal development plans for team members, helping them grow in confidence and capability.
I hold high standards for care and support, and that begins with holding high expectations for myself. I regularly invest in my own development—attending leadership training and engaging in coaching to keep growing both personally and professionally.
Outside of work, I enjoy the gym, hiking, and spending time with my family. I believe great care begins with a team that feels valued, respected, and inspired to do their best.

Donna
Supported Living Service Lead

I’m Donna and I am the Service Lead for the supported living houses at Bamburgh House. I joined the company in 2016 as a support worker and have since progressed into a leadership role. Supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs is something I am deeply committed to – I feel privileged to be part of their journeys and to help create environments where they can grow in confidence and independence.
Outside of work, I am passionate about exploring new places and love to travel. I find that experiencing new cultures and environments both inspiring and refreshing. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that’s going for a walk, being in nature or discovering somewhere new – these experiences help me to recharge and to bring energy to my work.

Yes, we are always informed with the information we need or have asked for. I have no problem speaking to Janine and she will always do her upmost to answer any questions or find the answer and get back to us. We are more than happy with the support our daughter gets. I believe Janine and other staff members do a fantastic job and if our daughter is happy, so are we. We thank you for supporting our daughter through this pandemic, it must be hard for you all.

— Service user’s parents

I have to say I was very impressed with the standard of the information which was comprehensive and not only gave me the insight I needed in respect to the support and management that the individual requires but also demonstrated a very person-centred approach to supporting her. It is clear that Janine is very much on top of things.

— Health Care Professional

I would like to say how fantastic the care team at Bamburgh House were in supporting **** through their rehabilitation process last time and feel that familiar trusted faces and those who understand their ways were key to supporting progression in their ability. I am not sure they would reach their full potential if in new surrounding with unfamiliar staff

— Clinical Lead Physiotherapist

Visited individual today for direct work sessions. Very clean, friendly, and accessible. Private area and space to do the work we needed.

— ECC CAYPS worker

Entering the home I was greeted by staff. The atmosphere was calm and friendly. I was asked for appropriate checks for Covid. Home was in good, homely condition. Information required was ready for the meeting. Looking forward to returning for the DST. Thank you

— Continuing Health Care Nurse

Have been regularly visiting Bamburgh House. The care team are always welcoming and friendly. They are always aware of my appointments and my reason for visiting. The care team know **** well and how to get the best out of her. They have worked hard to support her rehab post fracture. I do not believe she could have progressed as well without this support

I am a tutor at ACL Clacton. I teach construction and have one of your learners in my class who is supported by one of your staff Steve. I would like to say thank you for the help and support he has given me and my other students in the last few months. I think it is important for the learners to see everybody getting involved and enjoying the lesson. Most of the other support staff for the other students do not join in or get involved in lessons. Well done to you and your staff. Many thanks
